Buffalo Bills @ Minnesota Vikings
U.S. Bank Stadium, Minneapolis, MN
November 10, 2026 – 1:15 a.m. GMT

The Vikings make their primetime debut for the season at home to the Bills on Monday night having suffered their first defeat of 2026 last Sunday against the Lions. Both teams go into the game with a 6–1 record, and the result this Monday will say a lot about the Vikings’ trajectory for the second half of the season.
The offense has struggled through the first seven games, but with Carson Wentz starting at quarterback in place of the injured Kyler Murray, there’s hope for a reinvigoration. If the offense can get going and sustain a few scoring drives, Brian Flores’ defense will be more free to wreak havoc on Josh Allen and the Bills offense.

What uniforms are the Vikings wearing against the Bills?
As the home team, the Vikings have first choice of uniforms for Sunday’s game. There is no particular theme for the game, so the Vikings are expected to wear their primary home uniforms of purple jerseys and white pants.
Ones to watch

The Vikings defense excelled again in the game against the Lions, holding an offense that had managed an average of 30 points in their first six games to just 19 on Sunday. While it was a team effort as usual, the standout performer was Andrew Van Ginkel, who recorded a career-high 2.5 sacks, all in the first half.
Along with the likes of Dallas Turner, Blake Cashman and Eric Wilson, Van Ginkel will be integral to the Vikings defense keeping Josh Allen contained. In addition to being an excellent passer, Allen also contributes in the run game; only Bears running back D’Andre Swift has more rushing touchdowns than the Bills quarterback this year.
With Kyler Murray out with a hamstring injury, Carson Wentz will be leading the Vikings’ offense this weekend. He managed just 143 yards on 11 completions on his only other start this season against Chicago, although three touchdowns after coming in for Murray against the Packers put the gloss on a 39–22 opening-day win.
Wentz will need the support of his receivers to spark the offense against Buffalo, particularly Justin Jefferson, whose per-game receiving average for this season is currently at a career-low of 55.8 yards. He managed 92 yards and two touchdowns in Wentz’s only other home appearance against Green Bay; now would be a good time to approach those numbers again.
Previous meetings

The Vikings have faced the Bills 15 previous times and lead the series 9–6, although only six of those meetings have been at home, where the Vikings have a 4–2 record. The Bills’ two wins in Minneapolis have come in their last three games there, most recently a 27–6 victory in 2018.
The Vikings came out on top, however, in the two teams’ most recent encounter in Buffalo in 2022, in one of the most memorable games of Kevin O’Connell’s tenure as head coach. Trailing 27–10 with just under 2 minutes left in the third quarter, the Vikings scored three touchdowns in the final 17 minutes of the game, and although Tyler Bass took it to overtime with a 29-yard field goal, Greg Joseph kicked the eventual winning points before Patrick Peterson sealed it with an interception.
Vikings team news

The early injury news out of the Lions game was that Kyler Murray was feeling some hamstring “soreness” on Monday. Kevin O’Connell announced on Thursday that Murray was “week-to-week”, and that Carson Wentz would come in for his second start of the season, following the 9–3 win over the Bears in week 2.
Demond Claiborne (knee) and Jauan Jennings (calf) are the only other Vikings confirmed out for Monday night, having suffered injuries in Thursday’s practice session. Safeties Theo Jackson (quad) and Jay Ward (knee) are both questionable for gameday.
T Christian Darrisaw (shoulder), CB Isaiah Rodgers (ankle), OLB Andrew Van Ginkel (chest) and LB Jake Golday (calf) go into the game with no injury designation despite being limited in practice at various points during the week.
Bills team news
The Bills have only ruled out one player for Monday night’s game: WR Josh Palmer didn’t practice all week after injuring his hamstring against the Ravens last Sunday. They have five players who are questionable to play, including T Dion Dawkins, G Alec Anderson and DL Greg Gaines. DB Jordan Hancock (IR, hamstring) and WR Tyrell Shavers (PUP, knee) are the other questionable players as they make their way back to full fitness.
